Questions

Registration FAQ

Who can register?

Any player aged 30 or above on the day they register. The league is built for working professionals who never stopped playing.

I played Season 1 or in another league with you. Do I fill everything again?

No. Type your mobile number or start typing your name, and your profile, photo and stats come up ready. Confirm it's you and add only your kit details.

My name or number doesn't come up. What now?

Try your surname alone, or a different number you may have used before. If you still aren't listed, choose "Register as a new player" and fill the short form.

Is there a fee?

Yes. The registration fee is ₹1,000, paid by UPI when you register, and it is non-refundable in all cases, including if your registration is rejected or you are not bought. Players bought at the auction pay a further ₹3,000.

I played professional cricket. Can I register?

Only if your last professional match was more than 15 years ago. Professional means international, IPL or franchise T20, BCCI domestic (first-class, List A, T20), state or zonal teams at any age group, or paid contracts. Declare it honestly on the form: the league checks public cricket records for every registration, and a false declaration means removal without refund.

Who is the league for?

Working professionals aged 30 and above: employees, founders, business owners and the self-employed. Your LinkedIn profile, company and designation are checked, and registrations that don't show this may be rejected.

What kind of photo do I need?

A clear, recent selfie: your face only, looking at the camera, in good light, with no sunglasses, caps or filters. On a phone, tap Take a selfie. Every player needs one this season, including returning players, because it goes on the auction screen.

When does registration close?

Registration closes on 20 December 2026.

Does registering guarantee a place in a team?

No. The league reviews every registration and grades players into categories. Franchise owners then pick their squads at a live auction.

Which documents do I need?

Everyone uploads a clear selfie and the screenshot of their ₹1,000 payment. New players also upload their Aadhaar card. You also agree to share documents such as ID, age proof or proof of employment if the league asks.

Who can see my Aadhaar and personal details?

Only league admins. Files are kept in private storage and opened through short-lived links. Your phone, email and date of birth are never shown on the public pages.

Why do you ask for my LinkedIn profile?

SDLL is for working professionals, and LinkedIn is how the league checks your work. It must be your own profile (linkedin.com/in/…). Profiles with fewer than 500 connections are held under review rather than rejected.

What happens after I submit?

Your registration goes into the league's review queue. Approved players enter the auction pool with a category, and the league contacts you on the mobile number you gave.

Why do you ask for kit sizes, meal preference and allergies?

Your jersey name, number and sizes go to the kit maker if you're picked. Meal preference and allergies help the league plan food on match days and at events.

I made a mistake in my registration. Can I change it?

Each mobile number can register once. Contact the league and they will correct your details.
